Pain Is Not A Result Of Your Age

Are you tired of having someone tell you at each of your birthday parties how bad you are going to feel. What's the point! It is not like you can change your age.
Are you tired of having someone tell you at each of your birthday parties how bad you are going to feel. What's the point! It is not like you can change your age.
If I hear one more person say they were fine until they were 60, I think I am going to puke. Were they perfectly fit until then and suddenly some alien attacked them.
I'm thinking if that is true, why would anyone want to spend thousands of dollars for health insurance to stay alive? If turning 50, 60, or 70 brings on the massive pain these people speak of, then forget spending all that money on medical insurance, JUST LET ME DIE! I will take all that money and travel until I die.
It is a brainwashing in fact. Their doctors tell them, the drug companies tell them, an the insurance charges them more due to their age. I know some people at 70 who are less of a health risk than others at 40.
I work with many seniors and I get to see the results of many different lifestyles. I have clients at age 80 that are taking tennis lessons to become more competitive. I have people in their 60's, even 70's that are running marathons or biking road races. Then I have clients in their 50's, sometimes 40's that are as stiff as a 4x4. Many in this age group would be happy to just be able to cross their legs. So what is the difference?
How much you hurt is really based on how well you eat, what kind of a life you live, and what type of attitude you have.
When your body hurts, it is a warning sign that something is missing in your body. Just like your car has warning lights that shine to tell you something is wrong, your body shows aches and pains. Aches and pains don't mean that it is something very serious, but needs some attention.
Below are some things to look out for when you experience aches and pains.
1. Diet- what you put into your mouth determines how well your body runs throughout the day. If you are tired and sluggish, you could be consuming too many carbs and your body is crashing from the sugar high. If you can't sleep well, maybe you are drinking too much caffeine. Your food supply also determines how thin your blood is or how thick it is. Can't focus, again maybe too much caffeine. Americans consume over 80 gallons, on average, each year. Compare that to the rest of the world at 22 gallons and you can clearly see why we can't sleep or focus.
2. Lifestyle- When we mention lifestyle these days, everyone automatically thinks about going to the gym and working out. Unfortunately that is not the only thing that determines your lifestyle. Things to consider is the amount of sleep your get each night, how many hours do you work each day, how much stress is in your life, do you have stable relationships, or are you getting spiritual guidance to calm your life. We are in such a hurry all day, with music blaring, and surrounded by many people just like us that it really takes its toll on us.
3. Attitude- Do you feel hopeless and helpless each day? Do you hate your job? Are you in a bad relationship? How you think and self talk is a huge key to better health. I see a wide variety of people every day and the ones who wake up excited about the new day always seem to have the better jobs, better relationships, and filled with a brighter future. Think about it. Would you want to spend your time with someone who is always complaining? No Way! I have had to clear out many old friends who just kept bringing me down, no matter what I said.
It all starts with attitude. Once the attitude is in check, the lifestyle and diet will follow. If you are in a job that sucks and you hate it, find a job or career that you love and then jump on it. I know it sounds easy to say and you may not have a clue as to what you would love to do, but take some time in a quiet place to think what would really make you happy, and then figure out how to get paid for it. Once you are doing something you love, then you will wake up every morning with the anticipation of a child on Christmas morning.
Something wonderful will happen. You will start to find like minded friends, of course you have to get rid of the old ones and you never know, but maybe that perfect relationship will look you in the eye. It is not just about the money, it is about the happiness. Once you are happy, money will just follow.
